The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program is a 14 week comprehensive, intensive program designed to prepare academically qualified students, whose native language is not English, for the purpose of admission to undergraduate or graduate programs at Concordia University of Edmonton. The EAP program is for prospective International, Permanent Resident or Canadian students whose level of English language proficiency (ELP) is at a high-intermediate to low-advanced level of fluency. This program is accredited by Languages Canada.
The Intensive English Summer Program (IESP) is a 5 week intensive and comprehensive summer course designed to provide international newcomers to Canada with a memorable first Canadian experience including English classes and cultural activities within the Edmonton area and a trip to the Rocky Mountains.
The Canadian Summer Seminar offered by Concordia University of Edmonton is an intensive international summer school which provides students with the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of the English language while immersing themselves in their field of study, be it public health or business.
Morning sessions offer intensive English courses for students with an intermediate level of the language, taught by a certified instructor with a Master’s Degree in English as a Second Language (ESL).
Afternoon sessions offer either a series of academic lectures on the Canadian Public Health system or a Business Emphasis with courses taught by professors in Human Resources, Information Systems Security, Accounting and Retail.
